Walking on the Moon

Hello! I just came from the moon! It was so cool. Just to open the door of the rocket and know I would be the first person on the moon was good. When I finally stepped on the moon I felt like I was on a rocky beach. Buzz came after and he sure was happy. It was very fun.

My Trip Over the Sea (and into It)

When I was little I built a roller coaster of course my family and friends helped. This started my hunger for adventure! I flew over the Atlantic Ocean because it was my dream. When I was on my trip over the Atlantic Ocean I was so excited that I decided to go all around the world. Unfortunately my plane disappeared. I am writing this last blog from the bottom of The Pacific Ocean. It is cold down here.

This would taste good with pasta!

Once I was walking through the forest at night and I heard a roaring sound.
I thought it was just a dream. I pinched myself but didn’t wake up.
Now I knew a wolf was coming closer. I started running forward but the wolf came
and tackled him. I took his knife out and then killed the wolf. I
said, “There’s going to be nice pasta for dinner.” That’s how the Italian’s got the
idea of meat in pasta.

In the Sky with Amelia

When I set out on my journey around the world and across the Atlantic, my heart was pumping like crazy! I had never been so nervous in my life! As I set out I felt the breeze on my face, the cool fresh breeze. I got near the end of crossing the Atlantic and then I looked down from my plane and saw the waves crashing against the shore, it felt magical. I started to land and felt the mist from the ocean. It smelled full of fish. After I accomplished my flight across the Atlantic, I set out to fly around the world. Unfortunately, I crashed on an island. Although that happened, no one will share the pride that I had on that day.

Greenland is green...really.

Today I traveled 600 miles by boat to discover Greenland with my father. It felt like it was a junk place with ice but I’ll call it Greenland so lots of people will come here and I'll get famous. I have one sister my mums name is Thorhild my dads name is ERIK THE RED. I also discovered Canada about a month ago. It took me three years to discover Greenland. First I thought I was lost in the sea but luckily five hours later one of my men spotted land and we stayed there over night.

Around the world with me

Hello I am Ferdinand John Magellan. I was born on April 27th,1480, in Portugal. My parents died when I was 10 years old. At 12 years old I became a page to the king and queen of Spian. After becoming an explorer I wanted to be the first explorer to circumnavigate (go around) the world.I set out to do what Columbus had tried 27 years earlier sailing west to find a sea route to Asia. With five Spanish ships,I set out in 1519 in search of the spice Islands in Indonesia. I sailed south down the Atlantic. Today I saw the most beautiful site in the whole world.

Today I arrived at Greenland with my family and my son Leif Ericsson. I had to move from Iceland because I killed a person so I had to leave. I broke up with my wife after and my son didn’t live with me anymore. But I was still a Viking! A Great Viking!

Rescuing the Chimpanzees

There I was reading my newspaper and then one of the things I read was about the chimpanzees that how they are going to get killed. So I packed my suitcase and I went to Tanzania in Africa. When I got there I found out that the killing is today. I went inside. I went just in time and I stopped them and said I will take care of them. So they let me take care of the chimpanzees and I am having fun. So bye for now!

David Livingstone
I was a boy from Scotland/United Kingdom. I was born in Blantyre, Scotland 19th May 1813. I was a doctor but decided to be an explorer. I was the first European to take foot on Victoria Falls. Victoria Falls was renamed after our Queen Victoria. She was born in 1819.I decided to quit as being a doctor because everybody complained and I thought it was disgusting to cut up people and look at blood etc. Exploring is fun and exciting! I’ve seen the Nile and I thought it was pretty interesting. I wanted to explore the continent Africa because Africa at this time was not explored so much so I decided to explore it myself.

Hudson Bay would be a nice name

OOO I am on my ship The Half Moon with my other people.
I am now in a beautiful Bay, maybe they can name it after me.
It would be a good feeling if they called this Hudson Bay.
I am so very happy that I found this bay.
Now I am going away from the "Hudson Bay" to look for other lands.
Maybe I can find a river to call "The Hudson River".

THE STRANGE ANIMAL IN SPACE!!!!!!!!!!

When I was in training I saw something strange in the spaceship. I didn’t want to tell my spaceship mates because they wouldn’t believe me and I would have made a fool of myself. It was almost like a dragon but it spoke it said “Can I tell you a secret?" I heard the boss saying that we shouldn't let Sally go in space. The next day I told my mates. Then a mate came to talk with me and had the same voice as the dragon he said “Did you like my dragon costume?” then I realized he was the dragon, so I laughed, laughed and laughed all day. It was a hilarious day!!!! Ha ha

First American Woman in SPACE

Hi I’m Sally Ride today I’m going to space I’m wondering how it will be to brush my teeth and to take a shower and so on. But I need to remember that I need to be responsible and be careful. I will be the first woman to fly in the space shuttle. I’m scared if an asteroid comes and hits shuttle and breaks and we die but don’t think that will happen. But now I need to go to the station so I won’t be late.

View from almost the top!

Edmund Hillary here,
I am drinking my tea at Camp IX. Next stop the summit! I am telling myself to not be so excited because so many people have tried this before but none have succeeded so why even dream about it, but I am an explorer so quitting is NOT an option. Tomorrow I will be trekking up the mountain. I am a little bit scared but why am I? Tenzing, my helpful Sherpa will be right behind me and he is amazing! I would trust him with my life.

The Voyage Comes to an End

I found it! I found it! A new land! I’m going to have to stay

here during my banishment in Iceland, which means 2-3

years. I have come up with a plan during the voyage. The

place is cold and not much greenery at all! Which is exactly

why it should be called Greenland!

It’s perfect! If I call it Greenland then people will settle

there! Perfect! Everything I do is PERFECT!

At the North Pole!

Brrr! It’s so cold out here in the north pole! I can’t find Roald Amundsen anywhere! But , my expedition is going really well. We have found lots of interesting stuff .I am so tired. Maybe our tents will fly away, then we will have no place to sleep! I am almost running out of food! What will I do then? I can maybe ask my team members. I know that they have lots and lots of food. I just saw a polar bear. It is so interesting to see how the polar bears live!
